The last race have been run...The Awards have been given out, and Glenn Darden and the crew of L'Glide have been crowned the 2006 J/80 World Champions...The Banquet was a lot of fun and to be perfectly honest, I'm just a little sad to see it all end...

But as they say, all good things must end and so I say thank you to all who participated both as racers and as sponsors, for without you all this would not have been nearly as much fun or successful...And to all those who volunteered countless hours, both on and off the water, this past week...THANK YOU...As with anything, volunteers are the backbone of any successful endeavor...I'd like to also thank my husband, Andy, for without whose patience and love of sailing, I would not have had the time necessary to devote to planning and coordinating this event...And I thank Mark Foster for asking me to help him in running the J/80 Worlds...It's been a blast...

So on behalf of the Regatta Committee, the Volunteers, and the Corpus Christi Yacht Club, we wish you all FAIR WINDS and FOLLOWING SEAS, and sincerely hope you all return soon...

It's been my pleasure to serve as your Regatta Chair...Thank you for the opportunity!
